The Poco C55 could be released in India soon. The phone has reportedly been spotted on the IMDA listing, indicating that it will be released soon. While the IMDA listing does not provide many details about the purported POCO C55's specifications, it does indicate Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. The device is said to be a rebranded version of the Redmi 12C, which was already released in China, and thus may have identical features. The Poco C55 will reportedly have a 6.71-inch HD+ display.

According to Gizmochina, the upcoming Poco C55 has been approved by Singapore's IMDA authority. According to the listing, the handset may support Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. In Europe, the phone was also certified by the EEC under the model number 22127PC95G. The IMDA listing provides no useful information about the device.

However, a few days ago, reliable tipster Kacper Skrzypek (Twitter: @kacskrz) revealed that the upcoming Poco C55 will be a rebrand of the recently released Redmi 12C in China. As a result, the upcoming Poco phone may have the same features and specifications as the Redmi handset.

The Redmi 12C, the Redmi 10C's successor, was released in China last month. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC and a Mali-G52 GPU. The smartphone has a polycarbonate body and a plastic frame. It has a dual-camera setup on the back panel, led by a 50-megapixel primary sensor. For selfies, the smartphone has a 5-megapixel camera sensor in the form of a tiny dew-drop notch on the front.

The Redmi 12C has a 6.71-inch HD+ (1,650x720 pixel) display with a 20:6:9 aspect ratio and a peak brightness of 500 nits. It has a 5,000mAh battery and a 10W charging adapter. It has LPDDR4X RAM as well as eMMC 5.1 flash memory. The phone is a low-cost offering from the company, with the base 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant costing CNY 699 (roughly Rs. 8,400).
